Order Fratres Lucis
Brotherhood of the Light
The Fratres Lucis is an influential order within the Western esoteric tradition. We are not an isolated order—we are linked to several other mystical traditions that shape Western esotericism. Our rituals, symbols, and teachings contribute to the modern revival of spiritual alchemy and enlightenment traditions.
Historically we are linked to several influential teachers like Karl von Eckartshausen, Robert Ambelain and Count Saint Germain.
We believe that uniting students from various orders and brotherhoods, as well as allowing those who were never members of any spiritual school to become neophytes of our community—is paramount for the spiritual health of our society as thousands of esoteric students with the same aspiration have always existed, but they lacked the means, the bond, and the pole of attraction to unite them all.
Training
We offer systematic training in ritual magic and the Western Mysteries through personal as well as correspondence courses.
We offer a comprehensive training program for beginners and facilitate access to deeper levels of mystical and spiritual training for advanced students encompassing the whole of the Western Mystery Tradition. This includes Kabbalah, Hebrew Letters, Alchemy, Tarot and Angelology, to name a few.
However, the root and basis for all of our teachings in the OFL must be the historical teachings of Jesus, Mar Yeshua. The core focus remains the research materials of Dr Lewis Keizer on the Pre-Christian Teachings of Jesus.
Our Teachings
Just as all healing is ultimately self-healing, and no one heals another person, all spiritual integration is the work of each person.
It can be potentiated by the lessons of a spiritual order, but they are secondary.
The best thing is personal contact with a true spiritual teacher who has already advanced him-or-herself and can transmit the energies that awaken others.
Teachers benefit and advance themselves by doing the work of teaching others IF the motivation is selfless and not egoistic–otherwise they become part of the problem rather than the solution.
Our aim is to teach and celebrate mindful, meaningful rites for the benefit of others and ourselves.

For individuals drawn to the Priesthood, we provide comprehensive training and ordination through our Home Temple program.
This program is integrated with the Initiatic School of the Temple of the Holy Grail, offering an interconnected and mutually enriching educational experience.
Dr. François Bothma, serving as Vicarius Salomonis of the OFL, supports and guides students in both academic and ritual studies, available through in-person sessions and online platforms.
